自2018年以來，我開始教Ian英語。他現在是5年級的學生。現在，Ian開始用英文寫作文。我們先訂一個主題，我最喜歡的樂器是電顫琴，然後開始討論如何進行內容。Ian為這些樂器的學習的過程感到驕傲，他從幼兒園到小學學習了鼓，木琴，木魚以及的三角鐵。他還參加了學校和社區的許多才藝表演。他還告訴我他的父親提前教了他很多歌曲。我喜歡聽他的故事。他幾乎想把一切都寫下來。哈哈...他好可愛。但是，作為英語寫作的初學者，我們需要使寫作簡短，以確保他們可以寫正確的句子。

在更正句子的過程中，我告訴他要著重於用英語思考而不是中文來思考語法。不過，我知道這需要訓練。

最後，他告訴我說他的英語在學校裡是很高級的水準。哈哈...我很高興聽到我所教的學生能夠因為自己在學校的英語能力而感到自豪。現在他即將在英語之旅中邁出一大步，我希望他會喜歡它並繼續前進。永不放棄。

I have taught Ian English since 2018. He is in fifth grade at school now. Now Ian is starting to write a composition. We decided to write a topic about musical instruments first and then discussed what he had to write for his introduction. Ian is so proud of the process of these instruments he learned including drum, xylophone, and woodblock as well as a triangle from his kindergarten to elementary school. He also attended a lot of talent shows at school and his community center. He told me that his father taught him plenty of songs in advance. I enjoyed listening to his story. He almost wanted to write everything down on his composition. Haha... He is so cute. However, being a beginner in writing English composition, we need to make the writing short to make sure that they can make correct sentences properly.

During the process of discussion about correcting sentences, I told him to try to focus on thinking in English, not thinking in Chinese. Nevertheless, I know it needs training.

In the end, he told me that his English was at a high level at school. haha... I am so happy to hear that the students I teach are proud of themselves because of their ability of English at school. Now he is about to have made a big step in the English journey and I hope he can enjoy it and he will continue to keep going. Never give up.
